Children around the world, no matter their background, language, or culture, all understand one thing... PLAY!  Playgrounds and sports courts are important to the developmental process.  On the playground, kids learn to interact with one another, they learn friendly competition, they learn to be creative, and they learn to enjoy healthy exercise.  Many communities and schools are lacking the resources to build structures for play.  Instead, their resources are tied up in maintaining school buildings, providing books, and paying teachers.  Community leaders and school teachers understand the need for children to have an outlet for their energy and a safe place to congregate together.  Peacework partners with these leaders and teachers to create safe places for children to play.
